Being a mother can be a rewarding and beautiful journey. And along that journey, there may be moments where you find yourself saying, "What The Fuck..."
We created the WTF Is Motherhood media platform for Black women out of sheer necessity. Amongst the countless conversations across podcasts, social media, with our friends, family, and loved ones, there is no shortage of people telling us how to mother and what Black motherhood is supposed to be.
But that's the thing...
The experience of motherhood is individual and deeply personal. No one is an expert. Not your momma. Not your cousin. Not your neighbor nor coworker.
As Black women, our experiences in motherhood are a perfectly imperfect blend of intersectionality, culture, the legacy of our past, the challenges of the present, and our hopes for the future.
There is so much for us to learn from one another by shedding the idealized version of motherhood and having real conversations amongst ourselves about WTF Is Motherhood.
Together, we will laugh, cry, agree, disagree, heal, and most importantly, learn from one another.
Sign up to hear from us. We have a lot to discuss, sis.
